My project partner and I developed the concept and prototype for ArWater, an augmented reality experience for the Meride Fossil Museum. The initial project mandate was to attract a younger audience by using AR to make the visit more engaging, especially concerning Middle Triassic fossils from a fantastic world that disappeared approximately 240 million years ago.
Our project was selected, and with the support of highly experienced AR and 3D designers, ArWater came to life. Since December 2019, our visit experience has been officially integrated into the museum's virtual tour program. Now, visitors can virtually interact with the fossils, "bringing them back to life" and admiring them in their original size.
